As a young girl, I was always drawing, dreaming, designing and organizing things. Those traits have stayed with me as I have traveled through the years of time. One evening while I was flipping channels on the TV, I saw the Brother PE770 on HSN. It was that impulse buy that led me to the fascinating world of embroidery and applique. I should divulge that I knew not one little thing about embroidery but they sure made it look so easy. This seemed to be too good to pass up. BOY, did I learn a lot! It was not as easy as they made it look on TV. I had to learn about my machine, hooping, stabilizers, placement, tension, etc. I also had to purchase a software to merge and edit the designs. I *think* I even cried to my mom I could not do this and was going to send the machine back! Even though it was a great deal to learn, it was addicting. The joy of creating an applique or embroidered item is awesome. Naturally all of the merging and editing of designs led me to digitize.

With the time restraints of homeschooling our twin boys, I found digitizing to be perfect for us. It allows me the creative outlet I need without interfering with the responsibilities of parenthood and household management. My dear husband and I have 3 boys. Our eldest attends high school while I teach his brothers. The twins arrived in the year of 2000,15 weeks premature. That event pretty much turned our life upside down. Parenthood is always an adventure but when you toss in some special needs here and there, well .... then you can have quite a journey. You can read a little about their prematurity here on my Goldilocks Creations Blog.

I would never be able to produce quality designs without the honest feedback and support from our testing team. Sometimes a design comes together quickly, sometimes it does not ..... Then we have to rework the design till we are all satisfied. I draw a great deal of our designs freehand but I use quality clip art as well. Either way, each design is manually punched, tested and reworked till everyone is satisfied. These ladies are inspirational and a joy to work with. They each bring something unique to the team. The fun part is when we share a new design, then we see how each puts their spin on it..
